WSMI supports WHO Research Agenda for NCDs

WSMI was invited by WHO to participate in a meeting entitled ‘A Prioritized Research Agenda for Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases’ (NCDs), at the WHO HQ in Geneva, in October 2010. Research is one of six areas in WHO’s global strategy on NCDs and is of general interest to WSMI through encouraging self-care and disease prevention, and particular interest in the use of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to help smokers quit tobacco use.
