WSMI supports New Zealand patients and consumers

The New Zealand Self-Medication Industry has held an important conference in Auckland to support patients and consumers in treating minor ailments with the support of pharmacists, rather than always going to the doctor. The ‘Changing Landscape of Self-Care’ conference was introduced by government Minister Peter Dunn and featured a range of speakers both international and local, who discussed aspects of the NZSMI minor ailments strategy. WSMI Director General David Webber gave a keynote presentation on ‘The Move from the Traditional Sickness/Cure Model to a Preventative Self-Care Solution’, and gave press, radio and TV interviews.
