WHO confirmed WSMI’s official relations status for another three years

The WSMI Secretariat are pleased to announce that the WHO Executive Board at its 138th session in January 2016 decided to maintain WSMI in official relations with WHO. The decision was based on a review of WSMI’s report of activities for the past three years as well as the proposed three year collaboration plan for the period 2016-2018. In making its decision, the Board commended the continuing dedication of WSMI in support of the work of WHO.
WSMI supports the work of WHO in areas such as traditional and complementary medicines, tobacco control, quality assurance of medicines and noncommunicable diseases. For more information please see
WSMI has been in official relations with WHO for nearly 40 years (since 1977) and is looking forward to a continued collaboration with WHO in implementing activities to achieve global health goals.
