WSMI encourages patient education initiatives on cold and flu October 2009
What are colds and flu? What causes them? How long do they last? Is there a difference between 'pandemic flu' and 'swine flu'? How can I be prepared? How can symptoms be relieved? When to see a doctor? All these are important questions, and the coming cold and flu season brings an opportunity to educate people to practice active self-care.
The Propietary Association of Great-Britain, WSMI association in the United-Kingdom, and the Royal College of General Practicioners have co-developed and widely distributed a leaflet entitled: "the battle against flu & colds" which gives "handy advice" about colds and flu. WSMI applauds this initiative which encourages people to become more responsible for their own health, and is pleased to circulate the brochure more generally. • [Download full color version] • [Download black & white version] (for b&w printers) |
