WSMI supports self-care in China

By invitation, Director General David Webber made a presentation in Beijing entitled 'Why is self-care important to healthcare in China?' to the 5th General Assembly of WSMI's Chinese member CNMA. The presentation emphasised the opportunity and the need for self-care and responsible self-medication with nonprescription medicines. China has a major opportunity and need to reduce dependence on hospital visits as the patient's first point of contact with the healthcare system, and the development of the pharmacy sector, and OTCs, would make a substantial difference.
