WSMI's "Better Regulation" available in Chinese
September 2009

The Chinese Nonprescription Medicines Association (CNMA) has made available WSMI's booklet "Better Regulation of Nonprescription Medicines" in Chinese, thus giving prominence to this important aspect of healthcare policy in China. In many countries around the world, the regulation of nonprescription medicines is often not clearly distinguished from that of prescription medicines, which places limits on achieving an optimal level of public health. With a version available in their home language, Chinese stakeholders now have at their disposal a better tool to review current legislation and best practice in regulation of nonprescription medicines. The booklet also focuses on the benefits of greater use of nonprescription medicines to the patients and health systems.
