A resolution on Traditional Medicine adopted by the WHO Executive Board
January 2009

Following the WHO Congress on Traditional Medicine of Beijing, China (November 2008), and subsequent 'Beijing Declaration'  (see: http://www.wsmi.org/symposium.htm), a draft resolution on Traditional Medicine was proposed by 12 member states and submitted to the WHO Executive Board.  The WHO Department of Essential Medicine has announced that this draft resolution has been reviewed and adopted by the WHO Executive Board. The resulting EB resolution will be submitted to the upcoming World Health Assembly in May 2009.
