3rd Annual General Meeting of Impact

WSMI attended the 3rd annual General Meeting of IMPACT (Hammamet Tunisia, 3-5 december 2008). The International Medical Products Anti-Counterfeiting Taskforce (IMPACT) was created by WHO in 2006 to develop international collaboration and seek global solutions to the global challenge of combating counterfeit medicines and in raising awareness of the dangers of counterfeit medical products. The overall vision of IMPACT is to fight for eradication of all counterfeit medicines. Within the IMPACT Technology Working Group, WSMI has emphasized that the focus should be on technologies to assist in anti-counterfeiting measures in those regions and developing countries where the problem is greatest.
