Christopher B. Combe elected as next chairman of WSMI

Christopher B. Combe, President and Chairman of Combe Incorporated, has been elected as the next Chairman of the World Self Medication Industry. Combe will take up the Chairmanship following the completion of current Chairman Mr Hans V. Regenauer’s term of office in November 2008. Mr. Combe joined Combe Incorporated from American Hospital Supply Corp., now Baxter International, as Manager of International Marketing Services, and held successively the functions of Vice President of International, Vice President of Marketing, President of  Marketing, and President and Chairman from 2000. During his ten years developing Combe Incorporated at the international level, he launched their business in Japan, Australia and New-Zealand and lived in Europe for four years, managing the company’s business throughout Europe. Mr Combe is a graduate of Northwestern University where he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. He is also active in civic and charitable organizations.

Combe Incorporated is a 58-year-old privately held global manufacturer and marketer of health and beauty care products located in White Plains, New York, USA. The company has been a strong contributor to WSMI activities since the federation’s early years, and Ivan D. Combe was chairman between 1977 and 1979.
The Board of WSMI would like to take an early opportunity to express its appreciation to Mr Hans V. Regenauer, Corporate Director Consumer Healthcare, Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH, for his outstanding Chairmanship between 2005 and 2008. Mr Regenauer will remain on the WSMI Board as Immediate Past Chairman.
