WSMI at the FIP’s World Congress in Beijing, China

“From anecdote to evidence: pharmacists helping patients make the best use of medicines” was the theme of the 67th international congress of the International Federation of Pharmacists (FIP).
WSMI was pleased to contribute to the session devoted to the theme “strengthening the responsible self-care of patients”. Hans Regenauer, Corporate Director Consumer Healthcare, Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH and WSMI President presented on the new indications for self-care and the increased opportunities for pharmacists while Bernd Eberwein from BAH (The German Manufacturer’s association) discussed the evolution in the self management of pain. David Webber, Director-General WSMI, spoke about pharmacists’ training, emphasizing the importance of including self-care in their curricula.
