WSMI and the World Medical Association (WMA) General Assembly
October 2006

WSMI was pleased to attend the World Medical Association’s General Assembly in South Africa from 11-14 October 2006. Congratulations are extended to Dr N. Arumugam, a cardiologist in Malaysia, who assumed the Presidency of WMA at the meeting. WSMI’s Director-General Dr David Webber gave an invited presentation in the Scientific Session, entitled ‘Health and the Economy, the role of medicines’. The overall session addressed the subject of ‘Health as an Investment’.
