One of the few countries in Latin America that does not have an association to represent the interests of the OTC sector is Peru. On 10 October a meeting was held in Lima, Peru, between local companies , ILAR and WSMI. WSMI Director General David Webber presented on the opportunities and role of trade associations, and on the support that a Peruvian association could receive as a member of the WSMI network. ILAR presented on their structure and areas of activity. The meeting concluded positively with the local companies discussing the formation of an association for the country, to be affiliated to ILAR (and through ILAR to WSMI).
