HANS REGENAUER ASSUMES CHAIRMANSHIP OF WORLD SELF-MEDICATION INDUSTRY FEDERATION

Hans Regenauer, Corporate Director Consumer Healthcare, Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH Germany has taken over as Chairman of the World Self Medication Industry (WSMI) from Mr Ulf Wiinberg.  Mr Regenauer begins his Chairmanship effective today.
With a degree in International Business Administration, Mr Regenauer has 20 years of industry-experience in various functions within marketing, sales and general management for OTC- and consumer-brands in headquarters and operational responsibilities in Germany, Guatemala/Central America and the Caribbean, Austria and Spain. From 1997 - 2004 he was Head of Corporate Department Consumer Healthcare –Europe, Boehringer Ingelheim, Germany before assuming his present role. From 1985 to 1997 Mr Regenauer was with Bayer AG, Leverkusen.
Mr Regenauer succeeds Mr Ulf Wiinberg, President, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare, whose Chairmanship of WSMI was abbreviated by his move to a new position in Wyeth as head of the European Pharma business. The Board of WSMI would like to warmly thank Mr Wiinberg for his support over the last couple of years as Chairman Elect and latterly as Chairman.
