Sri Lanka discusses further development of responsible self-medication

A seminar was conducted in Colombo Sri Lanka with key Regulators, Administrators and Key Opinion Leaders, on 12 June. WSMI Director General Dr David Webber presented on 'The Social and Economic Value of Responsible Self-Medication - a Global Perspective." Many of the elements appropriate for an increased use of responsible self-medication are in place (such as high population literacy levels) and the discussion focused on how this could be expanded, for the benefit of patients and consumers.
