OPPI's International Conference, New Delhi

The Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) arranged a one day International Conference on "Responsible Self Medication - The First Line of Health Management" on June 11 2005 in New Delhi India. The large audience and strong media presence was treated to an international line-up of speakers and important contributions from the Indian government including Health Minister Mr P. Hota and Medicines Regulatory Agency DG Mr A Kumar. Mr Ulf Wiinberg, Chairman WSMI gave an address by video and WSMI Director General Dr David Webber presented on 'The Social and Economic Value of Responsible Self-Medication - Global Perspective." The meeting concluded by giving strong support for the development of responsible self-medication in India.
