MESMI First Board Meeting

WSMI is delighted to welcome the formation of an independent association representing the interests of the self-medication sector in the Middle East, covering the six GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait).

In the first Board Meeting of 'MESMI' on 12 May, the Middle East Self-Medication Association, a quorum of companies collectively representing a substantial and major proportion of the self-medication industry in the region approved essential elements of the legal establishment of MESMI, the Bye-Laws, Financial considerations, Company Membership, Executive Committee Positions, and recruitment of a Director General.

Dr David Webber of WSMI chaired the meeting for the last time and welcomes the duly elected Executive Committee of MESMI: Mr Mohammed Abduljabbar, Spimaco, Chairman; Mr Mike Eaton, Roche, Vice Chairman; and Mr Les Wood, Novartis, Treasurer.
