6th WSMI Asia Pacific Meeting in Beijing
7 November 2003

At the request of the Chinese Self-Medication Association CSMI, the 6th WSMI Asia Pacific Regional Meeting will be held in Beijing from October 26-29 2004. Subject to final approvals, the conference will be held at the prestigious Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, which is more usually employed for foreign dignatories and heads of state. Preparations for the meeting are advancing steadily, and a joint International Steering Committee Meeting reviewed progress on November 7th 2003.

The conference theme is "From the Past to the Future: Public Health, Regulatory and Industrial Opportunities in Responsible Self-Medication". The conference is open to pharmaceutical industry executives in all areas, and health professionals, government representatives, healthcare organizations and academics.
