| The World Self-Medication Industry (WSMI) is a non-governmental, voluntary, non-profit association in terms of Article 60 and following the Swiss Civil Code. It is a federation of national, regional and multinational associations in all parts of the world whose members research, manufacture and/or distribute proprietary medicines and allied preparations, particularly for self-medication. The operational headquarters of WSMI, and the secretariat, is in Ferney-Voltaire, France.
Under the Articles of Association, any national, regional or multinational Association of manufacturers and/or primary distributors of non-proprietary medicines may apply for admission to the federation as a full member.
Each request for admission must be addressed in written form to the Director-General at the federation offices in Ferney-Voltaire, France. Please contact us for details. We will be happy to provide you with more information.

WSMI Board of Directors
The WSMI Board of Directors is constituted of representatives of the member associations duly elected as above, and with senior executives of companies active in the self-medication sector. Applications from company executives for WSMI Board Membership are recommended by the WSMI Personnel/Nominating Committee and the WSMI Board by majority voting may approve their admission. |
